Accommodation

Your new home

Living in student accommodation is a great way to get to know other students and offers a convenient and safe base for you to explore your new city and campus.  The University of Leicester offers a wide range of high-quality student accommodation across the campus and city.

We at the Global Study Centre work closely with the University Accommodation Office to find the right place for each student.

Housing options

The Global Study Centre is located at the heart of The Village, which is only a short bus ride to the main campus and the city centre.

There are eight halls of residence in The Village, each with its own distinctive features and range of room types/prices. The Village also offers an amazing amount of green space including the University’s own beautiful Botanic Garden. There’s also a launderette and gym, and you’ll only be a short walk away from a supermarket and local shops.

Alternatively, The City accommodation is located on the doorstep of the main campus. The purpose-built accommodation blocks are only a 10-minute walk from all essential facilities and are also in walking distance of Leicester city centre, as well as the Leicester railway station. The fantastic location of The City makes it convenient and easy for students to move around and explore everything that Leicester has to offer.

Take a tour

Check out The Village, a very popular option for freshers. It’s an excellent place to settle into University life and make new friends.

Booking process

As a Global Study Centre student, you can make your room preference choices online whilst still on Conditional Offer status. You will receive all information and a Room Service booking portal link in an email after you receive your Unconditional Offer. You cannot log into the portal until you have a unique student ID, contained within the email from the Global Study Centre.

For students under the age of 18 on enrolment, it is mandatory for you to choose an en-suite room option. Once you turn 18, there is a contract break-out clause, allowing you to choose alternative accommodation if preferred.

“I have had incredible support from everyone, especially regarding university accommodation.”
