Q: How are you supporting students who are still in the UK?
A: Our current students have been accessing their lectures online housed on their module pages on through the Blackboard Collaborate platform. All sessions are delivered at the same time as timetabled, with recordings of each lecture available after the lecture has been delivered. The Global Study Centre is providing remote support to students as required and we continue to monitor attendance. The University is also providing a range of advice and support services online.
Q: My son/daughter is in University accommodation, will it remain open?
A: Yes, University-managed accommodation will remain open and the Accommodation Team will continue to support students who are remaining within University accommodation.
Q: I am concerned about the mental health of my son/daughter during this time is isolation. How are you supporting?
A: Our Student Support team are in touch with students regularly. All Global Study Centre staff are still here to support all currents students on their academic journey and they are welcome to contact us should they need any help or support.
The University Student Services Centre remains open as a digital service and is now supporting students remotely via digital platforms and telephone. Counselling, welfare and AccessAbility staff have been equipped to work remotely from home. Appointments can still be booked and will be delivered in a digital format via Zoom.
