Supporting families

Moving abroad to study can be a challenging experience for even the most confident of young adults, as well as a worrying time for parents.

The Global Study Centre ensures students are given the extra support and assistance needed to succeed at the University of Leicester. Academic performance is important; however, safety, happiness, health and wellbeing are of equal significance.

Many parents will choose to travel with their child. You will need to source accommodation for your stay, and there are a variety of city-centre hotels, including:

  • IBIS Leicester City Centre (24-minute walk from campus)
  • Premier Inn Leicester (19-minute walk from campus)
  • Mercure Leicester The Grand Hotel (22-minute walk from campus)
